Sectoral Hub Türkiye

The Türkiye Sectoral AI Hub is the national implementation, under the BSC AI Factory project, is jointly governed by TÜBİTAK ULAKBIM and the TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, operating within the broader framework of Türkiye's National AI Strategy. It works in close collaboration with the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network in Türkiye.
The Hub connects Turkish startups, SMEs, large industry players, public institutions, research organisations, and investors with the services of the BSC AI Factory and translating advanced AI infrastructure into concrete, sector-relevant use cases and applications.
Priority sectors addressed by the Hub include Health & Life Sciences, Energy, Agriculture & Climate, Finance, Public Administration, Communications & Media, Legal & Ethics, and cross-sectoral LLMs & AI Technologies.

Overview of Activities

The Türkiye Sectoral AI Hub delivers its programme through ecosystem clustering events: structured, sector-specific gatherings that combine technical capacity building (HPC infrastructure, distributed training, RAG architectures), industry experience-sharing, and networking among startups, SMEs, public administration representatives, investors, and researchers.

Events are deliberately distributed across multiple cities — Kocaeli, Ankara, İzmir, and İstanbul — reflecting TÜBİTAK's role as the national coordinator of the project and its established relationships with AI communities, universities, and industry networks nationwide.

Key partners supporting sector-specific events include TÜSEB (Health Institutes of Türkiye) for the health sector, AgrInnovate EDIH for agriculture and climate, and the Ministry of Industry and Technology for SME-focused activities.

From 2027, the programme will expand into a dedicated Acceleration Programme, offering sector-specific multi-day workshops for AI startups and SMEs, in coordination with the BSC AI Factory's acceleration services.
