The BSC AI Factory brought the first call of its Incubation Program to a close last Friday, March 20, with a Pitch Day and Breakfast with Investors held at Pier07, the auditorium and terrace space of Tech Barcelona. The event gathered incubated startups and leading venture capital investors for a morning that combined structured presentations with open networking.

The session was facilitated by Arnau Cuatrecasas Bergnes de las Casas, AI Factory Space Manager at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, who welcomed attendees and guided the program from the opening introductions through to the closing conversations on the terrace. He reflected on the BSC AI Factory's commitment to offering this cohort not only infrastructure, a physical space and mentorship, but also direct access to the investment ecosystem.
The morning opened with investors sharing their investment thesis, offering the startups an honest and direct view of how capital decisions are made at each firm. Pedro Gil from Bynd VC, Miguel Nieto from Criteria Venture Tech, and Roger Almuni from NextTier VC each took the floor before the pitch session began.
Then, eight startups — ByBusiness AI, Futurity, Easymed, Skilia, Tecwich, OneCare AI, Vecify, and She AI — had the opportunity to present their projects in a 3-minute pitch followed by questions from the investors in the room. All teams delivered strong presentations, demonstrating the progress made throughout the program. A special mention goes to Vecify, OneCare AI, and ByBusiness AI, who were recognized as the featured startups of this first call for standing out during their presentations. The formal session gave way to a networking breakfast on the terrace, where founders and investors continued their conversations in a more relaxed setting.
This closing event marks an important milestone for the BSC AI Factory. It is a reflection of what the program set out to do from the start: create the conditions for AI startups to grow, get challenged, and connect with the people who can help take their companies to the next level. We extend our gratitude to all participating teams for their dedication and the quality of their work across the entire program.
